My Dog Came Back as a 'Possum

This story was written in '02 or '03 after I'd been looking at photographs of my past pets which included an opossum. I thought the similarities between a small terrier I'd had and the 'possum were a little erie. Thus this story. A southern accent really works with this one and I can't read it without lapsing into an Arkansas lilt.
